you can be never forever.

imagine the smallest dot and

cut it in half –

when it becomes a quarter of an eighth

of what it was,

there you have it:

that’s you

that’s your soul.

and no matter how much they kick,

they’ll never beat the never out of you.

and it burns like a spark on the sun –

a goddamn inferno in the guts of HELL.

it’s better to be never than nothing.

they can take your nothing away.

but never

never existed in the first place.

you can’t take away something

that isn’t there.

be proud of not being always.

of not being something,

something that can be torn

something that can be ridiculed

something that can be dismantled

and disagreed with

left dropping through it all

on your way to nowhere.

the never in you will always

remain

stable,

true,

nonnegotiable and firm –

the honesty beneath the lies.

it is your strength –
