honest and trustworthy

a successful relationship
begins with trust and honesty,
but neither of those things
can be accomplished
unless you first have trust in yourself,
and are honest with yourself

how can you expect to
relish in honesty and trust
if you haven't yet begun to be
honest and trustworthy to yourself?

once you trust yourself
it becomes easier to look for
what is trustworthy in others

once you are honest with yourself
it is easier to find honesty
in others

all relationships are this way-
solid foundations of friendship and love
are directly related to the level
of trust and honesty
in that relationship

if either is broken,
hope is lost

without hope,
emotions dissipate
and you're only left with yourself

so trust in who you are
and be honest with what you are

then look outside of yourself
for similar qualities
in others

you'll be amazed
at the reflection
you see
