from a snake

dewdrops of glass
on plastic blades of grass
merging from chocolate earthen fields
where happy giggle laughter reveals
a better solution
to the age old question
of what is real
and what is dream
and suddenly it seems
that crystal streams
are golden,
drowning out sapphire screams
beholden
by the hands that cry
across the milk blue sky
of reasoning with abandon.
